Tokyo-based specialist #FFFFFFT has officially announced the launch of the #FFFFFFT_LUX, a premium new white T-shirt celebrating the store’s 10th anniversary.
Serving as the fourth installment of the retailer’s original apparel series, the LUX focuses entirely on uncompromising material quality and traditional craftsmanship. The fabric is woven from American Sea Island Cotton, an ultra-rare, extra-long staple fiber that accounts for just 0.01% of the world’s cotton production. To maximize the material’s potential, the US Cotton Trust Protocol-certified yarn is carefully knitted on a vintage Japanese loopwheel machine. This time-intensive process introduces air into the fabric, resulting in a texture that rivals the softness of cashmere while offering the natural luster of silk and exceptional elasticity.
Designed to improve with age, the unadulterated fabric naturally molds to the wearer’s body after repeated washes. Beyond the textile, the tee features a refined 3D pattern that provides a clean, stress-free drape from the shoulder to the armhole. Expert craftsmen utilized a specialized blind stitch, known as tenchi-biki, to finish the cuffs and hem, while a reinforced neckline ensures the silhouette holds its shape over time. Stripping away unnecessary decoration, the final product is a pure celebration of the ultimate white T-shirt.
The #FFFFFFT_LUX collection drops April 18 exclusively in-store at the #FFFFFFT Sendagaya location in Tokyo.
