The diffusion line reworks its iconic insignia across three core silhouettes.
Summary
- The release features three new unisex long-sleeve t-shirts adorned with a distorted version of the brand’s signature typography
- Standout design details include inverted center printing on the oversized silhouette and subtle hem placements on the classic cuts
- Both black and white iterations will launch at CDG flagship locations and the brand’s official web store
COMME des GARÇONS’ diffusion line, CDG, is introducing a series of “Wave Logo” long-sleeve t-shirts that disrupt the label’s standard graphic approach.
The capsule zeroes in on structural and graphic variations across three core, unisex silhouettes: the CDG Classic Long Sleeve T-Shirt 5, the CDG Classic Long Sleeve T-Shirt 6, and the CDG Oversized Long Sleeve T-Shirt 2. The standard-fit classic tees utilize the wavy insignia with deliberate restraint. On these models, the branding is isolated to a singular, precise point on the chest or aligned sequentially along the hemline.
For the oversized variation, the construction shifts to accommodate a bolder visual layout. The front profile features a stacked trio of the warped logos, intentionally contrasting the top and bottom graphics with an inverted center print. To maintain focus on the altered typography and the relaxed drape of the cotton, the entire range is executed in a strict monochromatic palette, available exclusively in solid black and white.
The CDG “Wave Logo” long-sleeve T-shirts are available now at CDG Gyre Omotesando, CDG Marunouchi, CDG Osaka, CDG Fukuoka, and the CDG webstore.
