Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance have officially unveiled their latest collaborative footwear effort, the ALD x New Balance 471. Debuting in a trio of distinct colorways — “Grape,” “Black,” and “Pristine” — the retro-leaning runner merges athletic heritage with premium material executions, adding another compelling chapter to the duo’s ongoing partnership.
Engineered for everyday wear, the collaborative silhouette is anchored by a breathable foundation of tightly woven mesh underlays. Premium leather overlays wrap the upper, providing structural depth and a dynamic visual flow across the profile. The sneaker maintains quintessential New Balance design cues, highlighted by the classic leather “N” logo on the lateral and medial sides.
Elevating the shoe’s material story, the heel is accented with a specialized crackled leather finish that houses an embossed Queens crest, paying direct homage to Aimé Leon Dore’s New York origins. Down below, a lightweight die-cut EVA midsole provides responsive cushioning, supported by a durable rubber outsole for daily traction.
