Highlighting the interplay between PS1 and PS5 eras.
Summary
- WIND AND SEA and PlayStation linked up for a second capsule, embracing the duality between the PS1 and PS5 eras
- The campaign stars Ran Isii, embodying the “User 1” and “User 2” personas, sporting graphic tees, tote bags and more
WIND AND SEA have teamed up with PlayStation once again for a limited capsule release. While the first collaboration focuses on the classic PlayStation logo, alongside the instantly recognizable triangle, circle, X and square button symbols, this new drop embraces the “duality.” The accompanying campaign stars Japanese singer, dancer and actress Ran Ishii, embodying two different gaming personas: “User 1” in cool blue and “User 2” in hot red, symbolizing the interplay between the original PlayStation and PlayStation 5 eras.
Key pieces include short and long-sleeve tees emblazoned with controller and console motifs, Oxford shirts, as well as neckties that introduce a formal twist to the capsule. Accessories such as caps and tote bags extend the collection’s reach, while design elements like stitched logos and tonal graphics highlight the fusion of gaming culture with fashion.
WIND AND SEA’s second PlayStation capsule will officially launch on April 4 through the brand’s website and flagship locations, with prices ranging from ¥7,000 – ¥17,000 JPY (approx. $44 – $107 USD).
