LA-Based Label MOTHER Taps the Ultimate Mother, Martha Stewart, for Its Spring 2026 Campaign

We chatted with the lifestyle icon about her collab, go-to family recipes and timeless style.

Mother is served. For Spring 2026, denim label MOTHER tapped the iconic Martha Stewart for its “Tastes Great” collection. Stewart’s books and on-screen appearances have cemented her as a pop culture fixture, as well as her keen ability to whip up delectable dishes and her gracious hosting skills. Now, Stewart becomes the ultimate muse for MOTHER, and for its new campaign, the brand treated her to special five-star service — complete with a white-gloved butler.

Shot and filmed at the St. Regis Hotel by globally renowned photographer Douglas Friedman, the swanky backdrop was a fitting setting for MOTHER’s new line of everyday staples. The “Tastes Great” range was inspired by sweet treats, and Martha even shared her own personal “Milf and Cookies” recipe as part of the rollout.

Stewart is no stranger to preparing homerun recipes fit for royalty, but beyond her culinary expertise, her classic fashion sense is also an integral part of her persona. Her enduring style choices have been widely celebrated, inspiring others to dress comfortably with a touch of elegant grace. One of her favorite pieces from the new season is the Stashed Picky Cropped Denim Jacket that she wears throughout the campaign.

Ahead of the launch, we caught up with Martha Stewart to talk about the partnership, her sense of style and favorite recipes.

HYPEBEAST — Why did this collaboration feel like a good fit for you, and how does the brand’s design vision align with your own wardrobe?

Martha Stewart — I’ve always incorporated denim into my wardrobe. I have blue jean dresses, blue jean shirts and I even have blue jean evening dresses. I reach for many, many things made out of blue jeans, and MOTHER jeans are so wearable. When they came to me through Douglas Friedman, my friend and longtime collaborator, I just thought, ‘Oh, this would be a great fit.’ We worked in the St. Regis Hotel, in a very beautiful suite, and we had so much fun. And look how great the jeans look!

Mother has become a modern term of endearment, bestowed upon people who display unrivaled poise and class. To you, what makes someone “Mother”?

Those adjectives, exactly. Somebody who understands the home, understands friendship, understands children — someone who gets along with a lot of people. That’s me, certainly. And I had a “mother” mother also. I don’t mind being called mother in any way, shape or form.

Who are the important “Mother” figures in your own life?

My mother’s mother was also a real mother to me. My Grandma Ruszkowski — she lived in Buffalo. She was a Polish immigrant and such a wonderful lady. She had very nice homemaking skills and she was always so friendly. I would go visit her every summer for a week by myself, and learn from her. And in business, Charlotte Beers has been a mentor to me for a long time.

Your style has been recognized for its timeless quality. How would you describe your own style?

I’m pretty simple. I usually wear a few pieces — nothing complicated — and not a lot of jewelry. I like really pretty earrings, and maybe a ring or two. Occasionally, I’ll wear a watch. I love comfortable shoes, and I usually reach for outfits with tight, well-fitted pants.

In the campaign, you’re treated to five-star service. What defines five-star service to you?

It doesn’t necessarily always include a butler who’s a little sexy. But it is certainly attention paid to the guest. Room service at the drop of a pin. And I really like to be appointed to a room with a view. The one we shot in made me want to sell my little apartment. I’d move into that suite for the rest of my time on Earth, I’ll tell you that.

Alongside the campaign, you even shared a signature “Milf and Cookies” recipe. You’ve cooked up many recipes over the years. Do you have any meaningful ones passed down from your mother or other family members?

I have two restaurants now, and the most popular dish in both restaurants has been my beautiful potato pierogi dish with brown butter and sage. So that’s a fantastic heirloom recipe from my mom. So many of my recipes are rooted in family tradition. But that one’s especially delicious. The chocolate chip cookie recipe that I shared for this campaign is my daughter Alexis’s recipe.

What is your advice to share with those who may be trying to curate their own distinct and evergreen sense of personal style?

Look, you sort of know when you have it. I think if you feel good in something, wear it out and see what people say. I bet it’ll be recognized if you carry something beautifully. People will point that out, and you’ll adopt it.
