The watches, going by the reference numbers of HBF001 and HBF002, derive their inspiration directly from Seiko’s first 300m diver in 1968, which was known for its bold silhouette and 4 o’clock crown placement. The new Marinemaster models retain these hallmarks while refining them with modern craftsmanship. The dials feature deep black or gradient blue finishes, enhanced with fine-grain textures and beveled indices for superior legibility underwater.

Ceramic bezel inserts provide scratch resistance, while the overall case design emphasizes durability and elegance. A special JAMSTEC Limited Edition incorporates a three‑dimensional dial pattern inspired by Arctic icebreaker tracks, symbolizing Seiko’s ongoing partnership with the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology.
