Miu Miu FW26 Wants You to Touch Some Grass
Enlisting Chloe Sevigny and TXT’s Yeonjun for the cast, models stepped onto the grass-covered runway in embellished runners and a new garden clog.
Summary
- Miu Miu’s FW26 collection debuted on a grass runway, blending outdoor gear with bohemian style through wrinkled leather, shearling-lined nylon, and sheer, jeweled gowns.
- Notable highlights included TXT’s Yeonjun in a trapper hat and new footwear ranging from minimalist slides to heavily embellished retro runners.
Miu Miu presented its FW26 collection on the final day of Paris Women’s Week, carpeting its runway in a bed of green grass. In the collection, Miuccia Prada‘s dedicated line gets new standout footwear styles along with an approachable collection that combines outdoor gear with a bohemian character.
Following a selection of tailored sets cinched below the chest, leather coats gradually transitioned to plush shearling at the hemline. Then, a range of sleeveless mini dresses were adorned with nothing other than miniature bows at the collar, and earth-toned leather jackets and pants sets were wrinkled with a lived-in feel.
Standing out were what appeared to be nylon-focused looks, comprising shearling-lined jackets and trousers. Yeonjun of TXT made his Miu Miu debut wearing a gray nylon crewneck and flared navy trousers with a furry trapper hat that appeared throughout the collection. Finally, the show closed with sheer numbers, embellished with glittering jewels. Some of the trapper hats featured similar treatments with bold panels covered in sequins.
Footwear included versatile silhouettes, including an ultra-minimal leather slide embossed with the Miu Miu logo, and a retro runner with heavily embellished uppers. Elsewhere, a patinated leather clog evokes Italian garden shoes and sits on a thick natural gum sole.
