Maison Margiela officially introduces its Co-Ed Spring/Summer 2026 collection alongside a new short film titled Joy. Coinciding with the seasonal wardrobe’s arrival, the visual campaign stars Oscar-nominated composer Max Richter and an orchestra of 43 young musicians from the French non-profit Association Orchestre à l’École.

Shot at the Théâtre de la Villette in Paris, the film channels the runway’s core theme of a chaotic night at the opera. The traditional concert venue transforms into a playground equipped with a climbing frame, swing, and slide. Richter performs an original score at the harpsichord wearing tailored silhouettes from the new collection, while the surrounding young musicians don purposefully oversized suits treated with the brand’s signature white “Bianchetto” paint technique.

Accompanying the cinematic performance, the campaign imagery spotlights two key accessories from the seasonal lineup. Maison Margiela reintroduces the Heel-less concept—an archival design featuring a hidden heel—presented across a Western boot and a pump. The drop also debuts the brand-new Box Bag, constructed from soft leather with reinforced edges formed via a specialized Thermoforming technique. To round out the release, a curated music playlist curated by Richter and the orchestra is now available on the house’s Spotify account.

The Maison Margiela Co-Ed SS26 collection drops March 11 via Maison Margiela in-store and online.
