Announced at Samsung Unpacked 2026, the Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Buds4 series represent a significant leap in Samsung‘s vision for an agentic AI ecosystem.
The Galaxy S26 lineup, consisting of the S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, delivering up to a 39% improvement in NPU performance specifically to handle proactive AI tasks in the background. A standout innovation in the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the mobile industry’s first built-in Privacy Display. This hardware-integrated feature allows users to control light dispersion at the pixel level to obscure on-screen content from side angles – perfect for crowded public spaces – without needing traditional stick-on films.
Complementing this is the slimmest “Ultra” design to date, supported by a redesigned Vapor Chamber that is larger and more efficient than the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s, ensuring the device remains cool during heavy AI workloads or high-end gaming. The camera system on the S26 Ultra also sees notable hardware and software upgrades, including wider apertures that allow for 47% more light on the 200MP wide sensor compared to its predecessor. This is paired with “Photo Assist,” an AI suite that lets users edit images simply by describing changes in natural language, such as asking to change a scene from day to night.
In addition to that, the S26 Ultra is the first Galaxy device to support APV, a professional-grade video codec designed for high-quality, visually lossless production workflows. The Galaxy S26 series adopts a unified design language across all models, with shared color options such as Cobalt Violet, White, Black and Sky Blue, plus Samsung webstore-exclusives like Pink Gold and Silver Shadow.
Launching alongside the phones, the Galaxy Buds4 series introduces an iconic “blade” design with stabilized metal finishes and engraved pinch controls. The Buds4 Pro features a wider woofer that increases the effective speaker area by nearly 20% compared to previous generations, delivering rich 24-bit/96kHz high-fidelity audio. New “Head Gesture” controls allow users to manage calls or interact with AI agents like Bixby and Gemini hands-free. These earbuds are available in White and Black, with a special online-exclusive Pink Gold for the Pro model.
Both the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy Buds4 series are avaiable for pre-order now through Samsung and is set for general availability starting March 11, 2026. For more details, head over to Samsung’s official webstore.
