Each model is limited to just 1,700 units.
Summary
- Seiko has revealed two Prospex Shohei Ohtani Limited Edition watches honoring his MVP titles and World Series victories
- Launching in Japan on April 24, 2026, each variant is limited to 1,700 pieces
Seiko has announced two limited-edition Prospex watches for Shohei Ohtani, celebrating the baseball star’s historic achievements, including his consecutive MVP titles and leadership in guiding the Los Angeles Dodgers to back‑to‑back World Series victories.
The models are based on the 1965 Diver’s Heritage design, reinterpreted with special detailing that reflects Ohtani’s resilience and pursuit of peak performance. Both versions feature a bold black dial accented with gold tones, inspired by the rare MLB logo patch awarded only to select players, including Ohtani. Further personalizing the timepiece, the crown is engraved with Ohtani’s jersey number, “17”. The watch also features a special clasp adorned with his signature, which includes a highly practical six-stage micro-adjustment mechanism that allows the bracelet to expand up to 15mm for optimal comfort. The exhibition caseback is finished with his name and a unique serial number.
Releasing on April 24, both watches are priced at ¥286,000 JPY (approx. $1,832 USD). Strictly limited to 1,700 pieces each – a deliberate nod to Ohtani’s iconic jersey number – the watch will be available exclusively within Japan through Seiko and select authorized dealers.
