Releasing in March.
Summary
- Nothing debuts its first-ever pink product with the Phone (4a), a vibrant “desaturated red” design inspired by pop culture and retro tech
- Launching March 5, 2026, the release is marked by disruptive pink graffiti activations across London
London-based tech company Nothing has officially unveiled the Phone (4a) in pink, marking the first time this colorway has appeared in the brand’s product portfolio. Moving away from the neutral tones common in the industry, Nothing views this release as a nod to technology that is expressive and optimistic. According to the company, the choice of pink is a recognition of the profound influence that art, music, fashion and pop culture have played in shaping their unique design language.
The design of the Phone (4a) in pink utilizes the brand’s signature transparency to create a distinctive visual effect. Lucy Birley, Nothing’s Colour Material Finish Design Lead, describes the shade as a “desaturated red” inspired by classic technology references. By applying the tint inside the transparent casing, light interacts with the underlying resin to produce a sense of depth that highlights the intricate details beneath the surface. This approach is intended to make the device feel lively and to celebrate the mechanical components that define Nothing’s aesthetic.
To celebrate the launch, Nothing has initiated a series of disruptive activations across London, including graffiti takeovers of flyposters and a pink-themed transformation of the Nothing Store Soho window. The Phone (4a) is set to release on March 5, 2026. Keep an eye out for updates on Nothing’s official webstore.
