FULLCOUNT Reintroduces the "War Model" in a New Lightweight 11.5oz Denim

Japanese denim purveyor FULLCOUNT is reviving its highly anticipated “War Model” series, updating the vintage-inspired collection with a new standard fabric. For this limited release, the brand has swapped its traditional heavyweight denim for a proprietary 11.5oz Zimbabwe cotton, designed to offer a lighter, more comfortable wear suitable for warmer seasons while retaining the potential for deep, high-contrast fading.
The collection is anchored by two silhouettes: a denim pant based on the popular wide-cut “0105” model, and a jacket modeled after the classic “2107 Type 1.” True to the “War Model” designation, both pieces feature period-correct details from the World War II era, including “sloppy stitching” with high thread tension to emphasize puckering, original iron laurel buttons with an arabesque pattern, and unstamped punched rivets. The pants also incorporate deadstock indigo herringbone pocket linings, while the jackets feature a four-button front (down from five) and a “T-back” construction on sizes 44 and up.
For the first time in the “War Model” series, FULLCOUNT is introducing Black and Ecru denim options alongside the classic Indigo Blue. The Indigo and Black versions feature stitching with a yellow gradation or tonal thread respectively to balance enthusiast-level detail with wearability. A special “Master of Reality” vintage-processed version, hand-finished by skilled craftsmen to replicate sun-fading and rusted hardware, will also be available for the Indigo and Black colorways.
The FULLCOUNT “War Model” collection in Indigo and Black (One-Wash/Non-Wash) releases on February 27, with the vintage-processed versions following in late March. Meanwhile, the Ecru colorway is scheduled for delivery in August. The collection will be available via retail stores, the official online store, and select dealers.
