UPDATE: BTS has officially announced a March 20 release date for their upcoming fifth album.

The still-untitled project is set to drop at midnight ET, and is described as an album that “reflects the culmination of BTS’s journey to date and defines the group on their own terms.” Created in the second half of 2025, the record will feature a total of 14 tracks and is “driven by each member’s honest introspection as they collectively shaped its direction by weaving their individual perspectives into the music.”

In addition to the album announcement, BTS is confirmed to support the album with a world tour that will mark their return to the global stage. Tour details, including dates and venues, will be announced on January 14 at midnight KST.

Stay tuned for more info. Details of the new record and tour will be announced via their new official website.

ORIGINAL STORY: BTS is officially making their comeback this 2026.

The group’s label BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed the news on X by sharing an article with the translated caption, “March 20th comeback confirmed.” The Naver article previewed a handwritten letter that the K-pop group sent to fans with a Weverse membership, penning short messages of gratitude with the March 20 date. Additional info regarding their return is yet to be confirmed.

BTS was rumored to be working on new music as well as their “biggest tour ever” for 2026. A report from Bloomberg claimed that the group’s new album — their first since completing their mandatory military service — is set for a release in late March, while their world tour will be comprised of 65 dates with over 30 stops in North America. BIGHIT shut down the rumors however, stating, ”Details regarding the dates and scale of BTS’ new world tour remain unconfirmed. The dates you mentioned are not the latest number we are discussing.”

Members of the K-pop group began their military service between December 2022 and December 2023, with all of them completing the requirement in June 2025.

Stay tuned for more updates on the BTS’ comeback.
