After a quiet period defined by member solos and global touring, BLACKPINK is finally reuniting as a full group. Their agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed on Wednesday that the K-pop phenomenon will release their third mini-album, DEADLINE, on February 27. This marks the quartet’s first major project since 2022’s BORN PINK, ending a hiatus of three years and five months, though the group briefly surfaced with the digital single “JUMP” last July.
The album shares its title with the group’s ongoing world tour, linking the new music directly to their live legacy. According to the agency, production — including the music video — was completed early. “We sincerely thank fans who have waited patiently,” YG noted in a statement, promising to “repay that trust with music of the highest quality.” The visuals unveiled so far utilize the group’s signature color scheme to signal the start of full-scale promotions.
BLACKPINK’s return kicks off a massive spring for K-pop. Before the album drops, the group will conclude their world tour with a finale at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium from January 24 to January 26.
DEADLINE drops February 27.
