BIOTOP has partnered with Levi’s to unveil an exclusive Type I Trucker Black Coating jacket, a modern reinterpretation of a historic silhouette. This limited-edition release breathes new life into the iconic Levi’s archive, blending vintage craftsmanship with a sophisticated, hand-finished aesthetic.
The jacket is constructed from 14-ounce, 100% cotton light indigo denim that serves as the canvas for a specialized black PU coating. Since the coating is applied individually by hand, every garment possesses a distinct texture, ensuring a truly one-of-a-kind look. The design updates the classic “war model” heritage with a relaxed, boxy fit while preserving signature details like double front pleats, a single flapless chest pocket and an adjustable cinch back. To maintain the authentic Levi’s spirit, it is finished with a traditional leather patch and the iconic “Big E” red tab.
Retailing for ¥39,600 JPY (approximately $260 USD), the BIOTOP x Levi’s TYPE I Trucker will officially launch on February 13, with pre-orders set to open on January 30 via BIOTOP’s official webstore. Check out the official images above.
