Assouline has announced a sophisticated new addition to its Classics Collection titled Derrick Rose: The Poohprint, a collaborative tribute to the explosive talent and resilience of the Chicago native.

The 287-page hardcover explores Rose’s path from his childhood on S. Paulina Street to his celebrated NBA career and life after retirement. The narrative is penned by veteran sports journalist Scoop Jackson, a longtime friend who has chronicled Rose’s trajectory since his days at Simeon Career Academy.

This intimate portrait goes beyond the court, revealing Rose as a son, father, and community leader. The book features never-before-published childhood photographs saved by his mother, alongside rare insights from his inner circle, including former teammate Joakim Noah. It also highlights his commitment to Chicago’s youth through initiatives like the Rose Garden.

“Every plan got to have a blueprint. The Poohprint is for the kid that don’t want fame,
don’t want to be idolized. THIS BOOK IS FOR THE ASTUTE,” Rose shared in a statement.

Priced at $120 USD, a limited initial release will be available on January 28 at the Assouline boutique in New York’s Mark Hotel, following Rose’s Chicago Bulls jersey retirement, with a global launch scheduled for March 2026.
