As Vans enters its landmark 60th anniversary in 2026, the brand is shifting toward high-fashion storytelling with the new Vans Authentic Premium “Charms” pack. Drawing direct inspiration from the highly sought-after Chanel La Habana bag from the 2016/17 collection, the release masterfully blends luxury house codes with classic skate heritage.
The pack consists of three distinct colorways: an olive green, a clean white and a red-white-and-blue edition that most closely mirrors the original Chanel aesthetic. Each pair is adorned with striped sequin detailing along the lateral sides and utilizes rugged canvas across the upper. To lean into a customized, DIY look, Vans has applied artistic paint splatters to the toe boxes and a pre-distressed finish to the midsoles. The connection to the La Habana bag is solidified at the heel, where metal bolts mimic the bag’s hardware.
Living up to the “Charms” namesake, the sneakers feature vibrant paracord laces and a detachable metal keychain decorated with dice, globes, and other eclectic trinkets.
