Summary

  • Nike and SKIMS’ new collection offers over 10,000 customizable looks across 58 silhouettes.
  • The inaugural NikeSKIMS collection launches on September 26 on both brands’ websites and in select stores.

Following months of anticipation, Nike and Kim Kardashian‘s SKIMS have introduced the NikeSKIMS debut collection — a line geared toward the modern female athlete. The first collection offers athletic apparel that fuses Nike’s renowned performance technology with SKIMS’ expertise in solutions-oriented design.

If skeptics need assurance from a trusted voice in sports, look no further. Serena Williams, winner of 23 Grand Slam singles titles and four Olympic gold medals, says the first NikeSKIMS collection “feels like butter on your skin”. “I feel unstoppable when I’m training in it,” she added in an official statement.

Shot by Luis Alberto Rodriguez and Rob Woodcox, the campaign shows Williams and other athletic icons in the various hues of SKIMS. The inaugural collection is a comprehensive wardrobe system, including 7 collections and 58 distinct silhouettes that allow for over 10,000 customizable. Designed for the transition from intense workouts to daily life, the line includes core and seasonal lines like Matte, Shine, and Airy. In addition to the campaign photos, NikeSKIMS’ debut film, directed by Janicza Bravo, shows more than 50 athletes, including Jordan Chiles, Romane Dicko, Beatriz Hatz, Chloe Kim, Nelly Korda, Sha’Carri Richardson, and Madisen Skinner.

The launch marks a significant moment for both brands. For SKIMS, it represents a bold entrance into the performance space, moving beyond its well-established roots in shapewear and loungewear. The new Nike-tied brand leverages SKIMS’s knack for creating diversely-colored, body-hugging designs. On the other side of the partnership, Nike is making a distinct foray into shapewear, blending its world-class sports science and innovation with SKIMS’s focus on sculpting the natural form. The collection is crafted to meet the needs of all body types, from elite athletes to everyday movers.

The first NikeSKIMS collection will be available September 26 at nike.com/NikeSKIMS, SKIMS.com/NikeSKIMS, and select Nike and SKIMS retail locations, including flagship stores from both brands in New York City and Los Angeles.
