James Gunn has officially announced his next Superman film: Man of Tomorrow.
The filmmaker and DC Studios head took to Instagram to announce the news. Gunn shared an illustration by artist and DC Comics president Jim Lee that sees Superman and Lex Luthor side by side. “Man of Tomorrow. In theatres July 9, 2027,” he wrote as the caption.
No additional details were announced.
Man of Tomorrow follows up this July’s Superman, which saw David Corenswet take on the titular character for the first time. He’s joined by Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
