From Puerto Rico to the world, Bad Bunny has officially been announced as the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performer. Coming off of his Puerto Rican residency and heading into his new world tour, the 31-year-old artist has joined forces with Apple Music and Roc Nation to share the news for NFL‘s upcoming spectacle.

The announcement was made during the halftime of the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers’ Sunday match, arriving after the NFL posted a social media post teaser earlier. Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, took to X to write, “I’ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States,” referencing the Super Bowl performance and previously speaking about why he skipped touring the country for his DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS world tour.

Super Bowl LX will be held at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, February 8 in Santa Clara, California. Bad Bunny follows a long list of halftime show performers, including Kendrick Lamar, who also won an Emmy for the showcase last year. He brought out SZA, Samuel L. Jackson, Serena Williams and Mustard. Previously, the halftime show saw performances from Usher, Rihanna, Beyoncé and more. In a statement regarding Bad Bunny’s announcement, JAY-Z said, “What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.” Bad Bunny himself shared, “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
