Jeep has unveiled the 2026 Cherokee, a midsize SUV that blends the brand’s rugged heritage with modern efficiency. Revealed in Brooklyn, New York, alongside a performance by LL COOL J, the all-new Cherokee introduces Stellantis’ first 1.6L turbo-four hybrid system for North America.
The new powertrain delivers 210 hp, 230 lb-ft of torque, an estimated 37 mpg combined, and more than 500 miles of range, making it one of the most fuel-efficient models in its segment. “The 2026 Jeep Cherokee redefines what a modern midsize SUV can and should be – a striking, turbocharged vehicle with 500-plus miles of range, uncompromising safety and the capability to chase every adventure,” said Bob Broderdorf, Jeep brand CEO.
Beyond efficiency, the Cherokee adds 30 percent more cargo capacity, best-in-class towing, and a cabin loaded with technology. Every trim comes standard with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, Uconnect 5 system, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto and more than 140 safety features, including Active Driving Assist.
The exterior design recalls classic Cherokee boxiness with a taller, wider stance and squared LED headlights, while inside, Jeep emphasizes sustainability with recycled materials and non-leather options. The new Jeep Cherokee, starting at $36,995 USD, will arrive in dealerships late 2025, with higher trims including Laredo, Limited and Overland to be offered.
