Miley Cyrus‘s ambitious new project Something Beautiful, is rolling out in multiple phases, blending a new studio album with a full-length visual film.
The “Something Beautiful” album, featuring 13 original songs, officially dropped today, May 30, 2025, via Columbia Records. This release follows earlier promotional singles like “End of the World.” Most of the album was helmed by producer/engineer Shawn Everett who previously worked with Weezer, Leighton Meester, Kim Gordan and more.
The accompanying 55-minute visual film, also titled Something Beautiful,” will have its world premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Festival on June 6, 2025. Following this, it will see a limited theatrical release in the United States and Canada on June 12, 2025, and then a global theatrical release on June 27, 2025.
Co-directed by Cyrus herself, the visual album is described as a “pop opera fueled by fantasy,” drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd’s The Wall” and the film Mandy, and exploring themes of healing and transformation. Take a listen to the album below.
