Kid Cudi is keeping busy lately, working on his new singles for his upcoming comic book series. Beyond that, the Cleveland rapper has also recently announced on social media that he has a new solo album coming out. As embarks on his new album journey, he took to X to confirm that his new single “NEVERLAND” has a release date.
Dropping the lead single to his upcoming album, Cudi writes on X, “Pre save NEVERLAND, my first single from my new album, NOW! At http://kidcudi.com🎡.” Prior to this post, fans were wondering what exactly “NEVERLAND” was. While many originally speculated what exactly it was, Cudi’s post puts all rumors to rest. On Instagram, he writes with a teaser trailer, “NEVERLAND. COMING SOON. PRE-SAVE ON KIDCUDI.COM.” The new track is confirmed to release at midnight on May 9. The track is the same title as the short film that Cudi is planning on premiering at Tribecca Film Fest on June 7. The film is a collaboration between Cudi, horror director Ti West and filmmaker Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions. Cudi’s most recent album was titled Insano and released in January 2024.
