'GTA 6' Gets a Second Trailer
The all-new visual finds main characters Jason and Lucia in the center of a failed heist.
Rockstar Games has dropped the second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, offering a closer look at what to expect from the next chapter of the open-world crime game, which will be released on May 26, 2026.
Alongside the video, Rockstar revealed new details about the game’s story arc., which sets protagonists Jason and Lucia in the center of a failed heist. The official description reads, “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida–forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

The new trailer is the second look at the upcoming game, following the inaugural trailer’s release in December 2023. Since then, Rockstar has delayed the title’s release date to next year and set the internet ablaze in anticipation. The long wait is nothing new for fans of the franchise, who’ve already waited over a decade for the next installment, following GTA V‘s release in September 2013.
