Update: A “Racer Blue” colorway from Awake NY’s upcoming Air Jordan 5 collaboration popped up earlier this month. A better look at what to expect from the sneaker has now been shared with new on-foot imagery. The mostly-black color scheme is accented by blue and silver detailing, including Awake NY callouts at the midfoot, tongue, right shoe’s lateral heel, and outsole. Release remains anticipated for August 30 alongside its “Arctic Pink” partner at a price of $210 USD each. Original Story: We’ve tracked the upcoming Awake NY x Jordan Brand collaboration featuring the Air Jordan 5 for over half a year now, focusing on the “Arctic Pink” colorway that Sukii Baby just showcased last week. It’s now been revealed that a “Racer Blue” pair is also due to drop from the duo, with a brief first look at the sneaker offered.
This take from the duo sees a black leather base joined by “Metallic Silver” and “Racer Blue” detailing at the tongue, heel, and sole. Special changes to the sneaker match its pink counterpart, including Awake NY’s “A” logo at each side of the midfoot and Awake NY and Jumpman co-branding at the uppermost portion of the tongue.
