Punch Henderson Claims Kendrick Lamar's Original "euphoria" Version Had More Devastating Disses Against Drake
Previous rumors suggested that the diss track initially clocked in at 20 minutes long.
Another version of Kendrick Lamar‘s “euphoria” supposedly had even more destructive diss tracks aimed at Drake, as per TDE president Terrence “Punch” Henderson.
During a recent interview with Curtiss King, Punch revealed that “euphoria” was due to run longer than its current six-minute version. While he didn’t specify whether the rumored 20-minute runtime was true, the exec shared that “[t]here was a lot of stuff that didn’t make it on there.”
“There was just some things in there that I didn’t think would have been beneficial in the long run to put in there,” Punch continued. “So I gave him my input on that and he took some of those things out.”
Just like the track’s runtime, Punch didn’t include the nature of the omitted lyrics. He did share, however, that a lot of Dot’s moves were deliberate. He stated, “It was super calculated. I’m not gonna sit here and cap and say it was everything, but the majority of things are calculated, are taken into consideration.”
