Following the official announcement of Kendrick Lamar signing with Chanel as their new brand ambassador and face of its eyewear division, the Compton rapper’s first campaign with the house has now been revealed.

Starring in the Chanel Spring/Summer 2025 eyewear campaign which features the four faces of a generation, Kendrick Lamar stars alongside actresses and fellow ambassadors Lupita Nyong’o, Margaret Qualley and Nana Komatsu. The campaign is photographed by Karim Sadli, as each ambassador sports a pair of bold eyewear pieces. Each of the four star were chosen to exemplify talent in its potent form and artistry at its most courageous.

The frames were all feature Chanel’s timeless signatures, with nods to retro silhouettes while maintaining a sense of effortless modernism. Nyong’o has been a close friend of the hosue for over 10 years, as is Qualley. Nana Komatsu is known for her daring work in films including World of Kanako. Lamar is a multi-Grammy award and Pulitzer-prize winning artist. On being a part of the Chanel eyewear campaign, Lamar shares, “Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind. Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses.”
