BEAMS & Columbia Unveil "Performance Fishing Gear" SS25 Capsule
Releasing a duo of convertible fishing pants, traditional graphic tees and retro trucker caps.
BEAMS and American outdoor gear brand Columbia have reunited for a special capsule, picking up where their “Performance Fishing Gear” (PFG) line left off. For SS25, the trans-oceanic collaborators offer a concise capsule inspired by American fishing culture, paying homage to Columbia’s classic graphics with BEAMS’ elevated touches.
The Convertible Pant leads the lineup, shown in a classic black and army green duo. Made in a breathable synthetic fabric, the pants can be unzipped at the knees and transformed into shorts depending on the wearer’s preference. Down the legs, pockets of various sizes evoke the utilitarian design language of traditional hunting gear. At the back of the elastic waistband, a triangular PFG emblem calls out the collaboration, and a Columbia patch appears by one of the back pockets.
Several different graphic t-shirt styles feature enlarged graphics inspired by t-shirts that can be found in fishing and hunting shops in the rural US. With bold typographic prints and vintage-style illustrations, the expressive tees depart from BEAMS’ usually tame approach to graphics. Lastly, the cap features an embroidered fish emblem that reads Columbia Sportswear BEAMS Bass Club and a cooling mesh back panel.
The BEAMS x Columbia PSG SS25 Collection will be released on April 26 at the BEAMS web store and select retail locations.
