Xiaomi has officially launched the production version of its high-performance electric sedan, the SU7 Ultra, starting at approximately $73,800 USD. The flagship model of the SU7 series aims to redefine EV performance, featuring a tri-motor configuration and a track-ready chassis.

The SU7 Ultra boasts 1,548 hp, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just 1.98 seconds. Its top speed is a record-setting 217 mph, making it the fastest mass-produced four-door sedan in the world. To support its performance, the EV includes a track-optimized cooling system that prevents overheating during high-speed laps, alongside carbon-ceramic brakes that bring it from 62 mph to a complete stop in 101 feet.

The SU7 Ultra’s aerodynamics have been enhanced with an oversized front splitter, active rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber rear spoiler with a 61-inch wingspan. This setup generates up to 628 pounds of downforce, comparable to a supercar. Carbon fiber is extensively used in the body, including a 1.7-square-meter roof that reduces weight by 24 pounds.

Inside, the cabin is designed for luxury and sportiness, with Alcantara fabric, ventilated and massaging seats and a flat-top, flat-bottom carbon fiber steering wheel with Alcantara grip. Xiaomi’s HyperOS integrates smart connectivity with voice control and a Racetrack Master app allows drivers to monitor lap times and vehicle performance in real time.

Xiaomi plans to test the SU7 Ultra at the Nürburgring Nordschleife to solidify its performance credibility. The production-spec comes available in five colors, with optional racing packages that include Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tires and Bilstein EVO R coilovers.
