Lil Nas X Reveals Sixth New Single in Two Weeks
“LEAN ON MY BODY” is the latest cut lifted from the musician’s ‘Dreamboy’ LP.
Lil Nas X is locked in. The musician is gearing up for the release of his next album, last week dropping a series of five songs in five days to kick off his Dreamboy era.
On March 10, he dropped off “DREAMBOY,” and, in consecutive days, followed up with “BIG DUMMY!,” “SWISH.” “RIGHT THERE!,” and “HOTBOX.” Today, the sixth single – entitled “LEAN ON MY BODY” joins the bunch.
The genre-bending artist first teased “LEAN ON MY BODY” in March 2022, when he shared a snippet on TikTok. The track was then supposed to appear on Lil Nas X’s NASARATI 2 mixtape, which never ended up getting a streaming release. At last, “LEAN ON MY BODY” is here to stay.
The sixth in the lineup of Dreamboy singles, “LEAN ON MY BODY” is another sleek, witty delivery from Nas, dripping in personality and personal references. “My other nephew sittin’ in the class with a broken knuckle / He had to beat a n*gga ass for talkin’ ’bout his uncle / Now listen, I ain’t sayin’ I condone that sh*t / F*ck it, yeah, I said it, I condone that sh*t,” he asserts on the first verse.
Dreamboy doesn’t yet have a release date, but with the rate the rapper’s at, it could be any day now.
