Nifemi Ogunro: GU’s tops strike the perfect balance for me, offering a polished look that’s still comfortable enough for a workday. The collar detail is key — it elevates my style while maintaining an effortless feel.

Hypebeast: How do you style your GU pieces for creative meetings as a designer and creative director?

Alba Garcia: To create a relaxed yet professional look, I often layer a collared top beneath a structured blazer. The collar introduces a subtle detail that enhances the blazer’s tailored design, and I enjoy the interplay of textures this combination offers.

Hypebeast: How do you think your fashion choices reflect your personal style and what specific clothing choices do you make to complement your on-the-go lifestyle as a musician?

Natia Creams: I believe that fashion, like music, is a form of self-expression. GU’s collared top series is very suitable for my daily wear, especially in the recording studio or social situations after performances. I will usually choose a classic button-down top to pair with jeans or leather pants, which is stylish but not too showy. The detailed design of the collar makes the overall look more layered, which coincides with my music style — simple, but without lacking depth.

Hypebeast: What qualities do you prioritize in clothing for your active lifestyle as a dancer and performer, and how do you incorporate GU’s collared tops into your wardrobe to balance comfort and style?
Da Hyun: For me, clothing not only has to look good, but it also has to be mobile and allow me to stretch freely during rehearsals or performances. GU’s collection of collared tops meets these two needs, especially those loose-fitting designs that don’t restrict my movements while maintaining a fashionable overall look. I usually pair it with wide trousers or running shorts to easily create a comfortable and stylish everyday look.
