Natural Hues and Varied Textures: Homme Plissé FW25 Draws On Raw Beauty
By examining the natural processes that mold nature, FW25 blends adaptability with technical wear.
While the fashion industry at large seems to be turning inwards towards office wear, Homme Plissé turned outdoors for their FW25 lookbook. Titled “LITHOLOGY: The Curious Stones”, each piece examines the intersections of tensions found in nature, such as vibrant and muted or sculptural and fluid.
Stones are continually subject to the unpredictability of nature and new geological shapes are formed, building the foundations for this collection. Not unlike the natural processes, Homme Plissé aggregates the elements to create new textural combinations.
The Cashmere Winter Gear is a warmer but nimble fabric that can be wrapped in multiple different ways, including scarves and balaclavas. The Wool Like Light uses a melange fabric to mimic the canyon’s rougher exterior, adding depth with its richer browns and olive greens. Drawing inspiration from the curving shapes of water-run smooth pebbles, the Stone Cloud pieces provide roundness and fluidity to the wearer, encompassing them in the look.
The Quarry and the Cavity Coat dive deeper into the crevices and take a more utilitarian approach. Both feature a simpler silhouette and the structured exteriors allow for inner airiness designed in solid earth tones. Representing the millions of years of culminating natural processes, the Agate print boldly flows from one color into the next.
