Bentley Launches Exclusive "Inspired by China" Mulliner Collection
To be made available on the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB), Flying Spur and Continental GT models.
Bentley’s bespoke division, Mulliner, has introduced an exclusive collection celebrating Chinese culture through luxury craftsmanship. The “Inspired by China” series consists of eight bespoke designs, each incorporating elements of tradition, symbolism and artistry. The collection is available on the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB), Flying Spur, and Continental GT models, each serving as a unique canvas for these regionally exclusive designs.
Mulliner’s design team has meticulously crafted each model, ensuring cultural accuracy down to the smallest details. Elements like embroidered dragon claws, the direction of koi fish and symbolic numerical representations are thoughtfully integrated into the collection.
One standout creation is the “Colorful Koi Carp” Bentayga EWB, inspired by the revered fish symbolizing courage and prosperity. The model features Mandarin orange accents against a Beluga black interior, with six embroidered and veneered koi — six being a lucky number in Chinese culture. Gold accents on the treadplate and exterior badging further emphasize prosperity and fortune.
Another highlight is the “Famous Landscapes” Flying Spur Azure, inspired by the Song Dynasty masterpiece A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains by Wang Ximeng. This model’s bespoke blue interior and intricate embroidery mirror the painting’s flowing rivers and towering mountains, capturing the Daoist philosophy of harmony with nature.
Bentley also introduces the “Ru Yi” Flying Spur, paying homage to the Ru Yi scepter, a symbol of prosperity and wish fulfillment. The model features embroidered motifs in gold thread, silver overlays on the fascia and chevron pinstriped detailing, reflecting the gift-giving traditions of Chinese celebrations.
Beyond these, the collection expands to feature representations of dragons, dancing lions and playful pandas, integrating traditional colors and motifs with Bentley’s signature luxury. The “Inspired by China” series is available through the Mulliner division upon request.
