Summary
- Breitling and Tezuka Productions reveal a 99‑piece limited-edition Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 featuring Astro Boy
- Exclusively sold in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Macau, it comes in a special Astro Boy collector’s box
Breitling teamed up with Tezuka Productions for a limited-edition Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 featuring Astro Boy – the highly iconic and beloved character from one of the most acclaimed works by the late Osamu Tezuka.
The limited‑edition model retains the Avenger’s bold, functional design while integrating Astro Boy into its aesthetic with striking clarity. A vivid yellow dial, a signature Breitling color, evokes the fiery thrust of Astro Boy’s rocket boots, while the 9 o’clock sub‑dial features the character mid‑leap, rendered with meticulous attention to his spiky hair, red boots, and determined expression. Three contrasting black sub‑dials and a black rehaut add depth, and the red‑tipped chronograph seconds hand reinforces the watch’s dynamic character.
On the reverse, a sapphire case back reveals both a playful portrait of Astro Boy and the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 — a COSC‑certified movement offering a 70‑hour power reserve, column‑wheel control and a vertical clutch for precise chronograph engagement. The 44 mm stainless‑steel case, equipped with square pushers, a screw‑locked crown and 300-meters water resistance, is paired with a rugged black military leather strap.
Limited to 99 pieces, the Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Astro Boy Limited Edition is exclusively sold through the brand’s website and boutiques in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Macau regions. The timepiece features “ONE OF 99” engraving and comes packaged in a specially designed Astro Boy box, underscoring its collectible appeal.
