To celebrate three decades of the digital pet phenomenon that defined a generation, a landmark collaboration between BE@RBRICK and Tamagotchi is set to debut. This limited-edition release will launch exclusively at the “Big Tamagotchi Exhibition,” a commemorative event hosted at the Roppongi Museum. Commemorating the 1996 birth of the global boom, the collection will be available during the exhibition’s opening days on January 7th and 10th, 2026.
The collaboration draws inspiration from the “Original Tamagotchi” series, specifically featuring designs influenced by the Western versions of the debut device and the “New Species Discovered!!” edition. The aesthetics are a playful marriage of both brands: the Tamagotchi hardware and its packaging showcase the digital pets and the iconic Bear in synchronized, matching poses. Adding a layer of collectible charm, each device comes encased in a custom, bear-shaped glitter case that sparkles with a premium finish.
Fans can choose between two primary offerings: the BE@RBRICK × Tamagotchi Device (priced at ¥7,150 JPY) for a functional piece of tech nostalgia, or the BE@RBRICK × Tamagotchi 400% figure (priced at ¥19,800 JPY) for a bold statement piece. This release masterfully blends the world of high-end vinyl collectibles with the pixelated joy of the 90s. With the exhibition running through February 2nd, these specific drops on the 7th and 10th are expected to be the most coveted tickets in Roppongi for toy enthusiasts and lifestyle collectors alike. Those around Tokyo can look out for the collaboration in person this new year.
