BAPE® is celebrating a milestone in streetwear history with the relaunch of its iconic leather classic down jacket. First released in 2000, the jacket quickly became a symbol of “luxury for streetwear,” and its enduring appeal is now honored with an exclusive 25th Edition and three new standard colors.
To commemorate the jacket’s creation, BAPE® has released a limited 25th edition, meticulously crafted in Japan from specially selected sheepskin leather. Only 50 pieces of this collector’s item exist worldwide, featuring a signature brown leather that develops a unique patina over time. Gold snap buttons and an internal navy jacquard weave of BAPE® CAMO add a touch of understated elegance, while premium Kawada Down ensures lightweight warmth and ample volume.
Alongside the exclusive release, the classic model returns in three standard colors: brown, black, and a deep urban purple. Each uses high-quality sheep leather, offering a luxurious feel. Functionality matches the sophisticated style, with a double-structure front enclosure combining snaps and zippers for superior wind protection. This collection reaffirms the jacket’s status as a timeless BAPE® icon, transcending fleeting trends. The jacket is releasing soon at select retailers and online for approximately $1,200 USD.
