Balenciaga has unveiled its 2025 Skiwear Collection, a high-performance range merges the House’s signature silhouettes with advanced technical innovation.
At the core of the collection are protective outerwear pieces engineered with cutting-edge materials and construction. Reversible puffer jackets, gilets, hooded parkas and fleece zip-ups are equipped with water-repellent shells, Aquazip® technology, down-proof weaves and hidden elastics to ensure durability and comfort. The inclusion of the Recco® rescue system further enhances safety, reflecting Balenciaga’s commitment to performance-driven design. These garments balance functional innovation with the brand’s oversized, sculptural aesthetic, offering both practicality and style for diverse winter environments.
The collection also extends into specialized equipment developed in collaboration with leading Italian snow manufacturers. Limited-edition mirror-effect snowboards and skis, impact-absorbent helmets, lightweight poles and silver sheen black Mask goggles highlight Balenciaga’s exploration of technical gear.
Footwear and accessories complete the lineup, with outsized boots and platform mules from the Dumbo and Alaska lines rendered in split calfskin or padded nylon for warmth and durability. Iconic bags such as the Explorer Backpack, Rodeo and Le City are reimagined in shearling-lined calfskin or fleece-lined suede, echoing the collection’s alpine sensibility.
Presented through a campaign shot by photographer and videographer Aidan Zamiri, the collection emphasizes slope-to-street versatility, showcasing garments and equipment designed to withstand extreme alpine conditions while seamlessly integrating into urban life.
