PORTER has joined forces with premium camera manufacturer Leica for a collaborative set of BACKPACK with CAMERA CASE & POUCH, marking the third instalment of PORTER’s 90th Anniversary Project. This collaboration also pays tribute to the 100th anniversary of the revolutionary Leica I camera, first introduced in 1925.
Developed over four years, the BACKPACK with CAMERA CASE & POUCH set aims to be the ultimate camera bag for photographers. The set includes a camera case and a versatile pouch. Its design is a study in sophistication, featuring a monochromatic black exterior that elegantly contrasts with Leica’s iconic signature red interior.
The backpack features a two-layer structure, including a padded pocket for a 13-inch laptop and a main compartment designed to house the custom camera case, which holds one camera and two lenses. For enhanced functionality, the backpack and camera case both feature side zippers, allowing for quick external access to equipment. Each piece is finished with weather-resistant Scotchgard-treated leather on the bottom and a specially designed numbered tag inspired by Leica’s archives.
The Leica x PORTER collaboration is limited to just 100 units. Priced at ¥220,000 JPY (approx. $1470 USD), it will be available from October 18 at Leica’s website, Yoshida & Co.’s website, and PORTER’s flagship stores in Omotesando, Tokyo, and Osaka.
