Thom Browne Resort 2025 Fashions Whimsical Americana

Thom Browne’s Resort 2025 collection looks familiar because it is. During September’s New York Fashion Week, the prolific American designer (and chairman of the CFDA) opted out of his usual runway show and instead booked a reservation at The Commerce Inn, where he invited an entourage of famous faces to informally debut his latest fashion line. After offering a sneak peek at his newest buttoned-up wares on the likes of Evan Mock, Addison Rae and Alton Mason, Browne has now returned to properly package and photograph his entire Resort 2025 collection in lookbook form.
“Many of the codes highlighted in the collection are referencing an idea of Americana that may only exist in my mind,” the fashioner previously told Hypebeast, naming hero pieces like jacket-weight cashmere twins and madras plaid, four-bar emblazoned nylon tracksuits, patch-pocket needle-stitched cotton suits and memory-tech utility coats.
Elsewhere, the lineup includes transparent and technical raincoats, which protect their formal underlayers without concealing them, and an onslaught of firetruck red statements, including sharp-shouldered blazers, swinging overcoats, tweed jackets, button-up dresses and pleated skirts. In between, Browne’s classic muted suiting, red-white-and-blue stripes, whimsical embellishments and dachshund-shaped bags are to be expected; but here, they’re clever styling — big shirts under small coats and short-shorts under large blazers alike — showcases just how adaptable the Thom Browne wardrobe can become.
