ASICS has dropped two grayscale-centric colorways for the GEL-NYC 2055 silhouette. The lighter variant combines “Glacier Grey” overlays and mesh on a crisp white base. Meanwhile, the darker colorway pairs a “Clay Grey” upper with black overlays, laces and sockliner.
Both versions feature subtle metallic silver touches outlining the ASICS stripes, while small branding embroideries and midsoles mirror each other in a matching hue.
The GEL-NYC 2055 sneaker draws inspiration from archival running shoes released in the early 2000s. The upper’s design references key design elements from the GT-205 and GT-2060 models, incorporating their features into the ASICS Stripes, heel counter and eyelet structure. This fusion of past influences creates a distinctive and stylish look.
Contrasting the retro upper, the shoe utilizes the GEL-CUMULUS® 16 shoe system. This midsole configuration combines lightweight foams with GEL® technology inserts to deliver advanced underfoot comfort.
