EVANGELION:30+ to Celebrate 30 Years of 'Evangelion'
Look out for a year of exciting collaborations and merchandise to be followed by a special three-day event at Yokohama Arena in February of next year.
2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the debut of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Hideaki Anno’s groundbreaking mecha anime, which has been widely praised for decades as one of the greatest series in the medium. The franchise’s latest cinematic release was in 2021 with Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time, the final film in the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy, however, it continues to be embraced by fans as new merchandise and collaborations release each year.
With 2025 having officially begun, EVANGELION:30+ has been announced as the special 30th anniversary celebration of Evangelion. Projects involved range from new illustration books to partnerships with the likes of McDonald’s and GU. Many additional collaborations are expected to pop up throughout the year as previous team-ups have ranged from themed versions of Nissin Cup Noodles to being a focal point of an UNDERCOVER runway show. To top it all off, a special event will be hosted at Yokohama Arena from February 21 to February 23 of 2026.
