BMW Reveals Updated 659 HP iX M70 xDrive
In addition to several entry level iX models that all feature enhanced range and styling.
BMW has unveiled the updated iX M70 xDrive, the latest example in its all-electric “Sports Activity Vehicle” (SAV) lineup, boasting increased power and luxury. As the most performance-focused model in the iX range, the M70 xDrive delivers 659 hp and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds.
Equipped with BMW’s advanced eDrive technology and optimized power electronics, the iX M70 xDrive offers exceptional efficiency and driving dynamics. With a high-voltage battery providing 108.9 kWh of usable energy, it achieves a range of up to 373 miles on the WLTP cycle. The vehicle’s adaptive suspension, Integral Active Steering and M-specific tuning aim to provide a thrilling yet controlled driving experience.
The iX M70 xDrive features a bold and aggressive design with the M Sport package and M Sport package Pro as standard. A redesigned kidney grille with an exclusive M logo, black exterior mirror caps and unique 22-inch M light-alloy wheels reinforce its high-performance identity. Dark M Shadow Line headlights and rear lights add to the updated styling.
Notably, the iX M70 xDrive supports up to 195 kW DC fast charging, providing rapid energy replenishment. BMW’s latest iDrive system, powered by Operating System 8.5, integrates an intuitive interface, video streaming and in-car gaming. A range of advanced driver assistance features, including Highway Assistant and Parking Assistant Professional provide added safety.
While the M70 xDrive leads the lineup in performance, BMW also offers the iX xDrive45 and xDrive60, which feature improved power and extended driving ranges. Details on pricing and availability for the new iX models are available via BMW’s official site.
