BEAMS PLUS and Engineered Garments Unveil "PEG Ranger Uniform"
The anniversary capsule represents the culmination of BEAMS PLUS and Engineered Garments’ 25th year of cross-collaboration.
BEAMS PLUS and Engineered Garments have reunited for their PEG line, which was resumed as 2024 marked the collaboration’s 25th anniversary. The culmination of the anniversary year is represented strongly in the new PEG Uniform Jacket and Pants, which display their shared affinity for timelessness and functionality.
For the PEG line, the collaborators bring manufacturing to the USA, where Engineered Garments’ products are made. The design of the matching set is heavily influenced by vintage American workwear, a thread that runs through both labels’ ethos. Zipper and snap placket pockets of various sizes and shapes cover the exterior of the short-cut jacket. Monochromatic hardware and small reflective details tie the design back into the present with a more streamlined technical aesthetic.
The matching trousers maintain the utilitarian design with patch pockets, coin pockets and side pockets. Adjustable drawstrings at the waistband and the ankle cuffs allow wearers to alter sizing accordingly with their desired fit. Aside from small cobranded PEG patches, the design is ultimately restrained, in line with the historic spirit of uniforms.
