Hot Chip Taps Unified Goods for Exclusive Merch Drop
Celebrating the band’s ‘Coming on Strong’ LP reissue.
Unified Goods will be releasing an exclusive 10-piece merch capsule in anticipating Hot Chip’s Coming on Strong LP reissue. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the English synthpop band’s debut LP, making this drop a double celebration.
Centering a bright yellow color and black color palette, the range exudes vibrant nostalgia through its typography and graphics that nod to the early to mid-2000s aesthetic. Coming on Strong’s cover art also becomes a prominent design influence for the pieces.
The lineup comprises a selection of t-shirts, sweatshirts and socks alongside a cap and a limited-edition- MA-1 bomber jacket. Highlighted from the range, the white T-shirt incorporates unused original illustrations by Owen Clarke — the band member who created the LP’s original cover artwork.
Hot Chip’s Coming on Strong merch capsule will be available for pre-order via Unified Goods’ webstore starting September 27, midday BST. Meanwhile, the reissue of Coming on Strong is set for an October 11 release.
