Travis Scott's 'Days Before Rodeo' Debuts at No. 2 After Tight Race Against Sabrina Carpenter
The two artists were separated by only 1,000 units.
The battle for No. 1 between Travis Scott‘s Days Before Rodeo and Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet is officially over.
Carpenter was named this week’s Billboard 200 chart-topper as Short n’ Sweet debuted with a total of 362,000 equivalent album units — just 1,000 units more than Scott’s Days Before Rodeo. The “Espresso” singer’s latest effort earned 184,000 in album sales, 176,000 streaming equivalent album units (233 million on-demand streams of the songs) and 2,000 in track equivalent album units.
Meanwhile, Scott’s Days Before Rodeo opened at No. 2 with 361,000 equivalent album units, including 331,000 in equivalent album sales (marking the second-biggest sales week of 2024), 30,000 in streaming equivalent album units (40.63 million on-demand streams of the songs) and under 500 in track equivalent album units. This gives the rapper his fifth top 5 and his fourth top 2; his lowest peak on the Billboard 200 was at No. 3 with the original Rodeo in 2015.
Also debuting is Laine Wilson at No. 8 with Whirlwind, which crossed 48,000 equivalent album units to give her her first top 1o effort.
Elsewhere in this week’s top 10 is Post Malone at No. 3, Chappell Roan at No. 4 and Morgan Wallen at No. 5. Making up the bottom half are Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Zach Bryan and Noah Kahan at Nos. 6, 7, 9 and 10, respectively.
