The Weeknd and Playboi Carti Proclaim Their Artistry Is "Timeless" in New Music Video
The duo reunites following 2023’s “Popular” with Madonna.
The Weeknd has dropped a new music video with Playboi Carti for their latest join track “Timeless.” The duo last paired up together on the 2023 song “Popular” with Madonna. The new music video comes after The Weeknd dropped the visuals for “Dancing in the Flames,” which he shot entirely on the iPhone 16 Pro.
Directed by Gunner Stahl, The Weeknd and Carti link up once more, this time in a barren warehouse. Carti can be seen rocking an Allen Iverson football jersey backwards, wearing his iced-out Opium chains, a do-rag and a double-horned hat. Both have scantily-clad dancers around them, bringing up the mood in the otherwise ominous party. This is the second single from The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow album, which marks his final installment of the After Hours/Dawn FM trilogy. Fans have taken to YouTube to express their liking of the duo’s matchup, with some one writing, “THIS DUO IS 2/2, WE NEED MORE COLLABS.”
The highly anticipated music video gives fans a glimpse of what is to come for the Canadian crooner’s upcoming sixth studio album. The song has been teased throughout the week and was even previewed recently at one of The Weeknd’s stadium concerts.
