Update: Having surfaced earlier this month, the Nike Air Max 95 “Erosion” has just been officially unveiled by the Swoosh ahead of its expected release next week. The pair, as described in our original story below, sports a brown to purple gradient at the lateral and a brown to light brown gradient at the medial, referencing its theme of erosion. Release remains expected to take place on September 30 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
Original Story: It’s been a relatively quiet year for the Nike Air Max 95. The silhouette made noise in 2023 thanks to Corteiz and its three colorways of the shoe that dropped and is starting build momentum up once again as projects involving A Ma Maniére, Stash and Corteiz once again are all expected to drop in the next year.

Now, a new “Erosion” colorway has added excitement surrounding the sneaker as it dons a look inspired by soil color charts. At the lateral, it leverages the layered build of the Air Max 95 by applying a gradient of brown to increasingly-light shades of purple towards the tongue. As for the medial, it starts with a dark brown and similarly lightens in shade as it goes upwards. The sockliner design hosts “NIKE AIR MAX 95 AS IF UNEARTHED BY THE PROCESS OF EROSION.” text, calling out the theme alongside Nike and Nike SNKRS branding, which matches the thematic shoe box’s interior. Rounding out the pair, a black sole unit features visible Air units in blue.
At the time of writing, Nike has not shared any release details regarding this “Erosion”-themed take on the Air Max 95.
