Blancpain Revisits the Air Command Series With Two Flyback Chronographs
Coming in 42.5mm and 36.5mm case sizes.

Blancpain is expanding its Air Command series with two new vintage-inspired chronographs. In homage to the Maison’s highly recognizable chronograph model from the ‘50s, the new references are offered in two different case sizes: 42.5 mm and 36.2 mm.
Exuding a retro mood with aviator flair, the pieces are encased in satin-brushed titanium and dressed in a camouflage-green hue from the dial to the leather strap. Also crafted from titanium, the bezel features a two-way rotating mechanism, while a black ceramic bezel insert breaks up the tonal color scheme with a utilitarian touch. Markings on the bezel mirror the Arabic numerals and tachymeter on the dial, boasting a soft and muted yellow hue that adds to its vintage charm.
Viewable through the open caseback, the 18k gold oscillating weight comes in a form that resembles a vintage aircraft propeller — another nod to the model’s aeronautical heritage and history.
Both Air Command Flyback Chronograph models are powered by self-winding movements, with the F388B on the 42.5mm variant and the F188B for the 36.2 mm. The larger-sized version retails for $21,800 USD, while the 36.2mm variant is priced at $20,500 USD. Both watches will be available through Blancpain and are produced in limited quantities.
