The Weeknd has shared the third teaser for his upcoming album which will be the third and final album in his album trilogy. The Weeknd first shared the trailer, containing a new song, to Instagram with the caption simply saying “unprepared certainty…”

The three-and-a-half-minute CGI teaser starts ominously with The Weeknd as a little boy following a cloaked figure into an old house. Over it, the unreleased song plays as he sings, “All I have is my legacy / I’ve been losing my memories / no afterlife / no other side.”

The instrumental builds tension as the boy approaches the house and The Weekend sings, “I’m all alone when it fades to black.” The little boy enters a grandfather clock and he sings, “You can change locations, you can change your name / They will always find a way.” The boy’s hair changes rapidly, referencing The Weeknd’s various eras since his debut.

The video ends with the clocked figure revealing herself as his mother and begins to hold him before smoke engulfs them.

Both prior teasers feature the same CGI The Weekend as a little boy. The first starts with an unreleased track as the Weekend’s previous two eras in the trilogy are animated before the little boy appears with white bodies surrounding him. The second features two unreleased tracks, the first completely new and the second a previously previewed demo entitled “Hold Your Heart,” initially scrapped from After Hours.

You can watch the “unprepared certainty…” teaser above.
