Warner Bros. Debuts Tense New 'Joker: Folie à Deux' Teaser
The sequel hits theaters this October.
Warner Bros.‘ latest teaser for Joker: Folie à Deux gives excited fans a more detailed look at the main characters.
Albeit a short preview, the teaser highlights Arthur Fleck’s (Joaquin Phoenix) rise to infamy as crowds show up to support him at an ongoing trial. A news report that plays over the 30-second visual clarifies that he is not a martyr as many seem to believe, but that doesn’t stop the hordes of people who appear to cheer him on and almost channel his own beliefs. Meanwhile, Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) remains by his side as his trusted partner, going as far as sporting makeup similar to Joker.
Folie à Deux will follow the events of its predecessor and will reportedly mostly take place in Arkham Asylum, where Fleck/Joker is kept as he faces the law.
